My name is Rascal, and I am a chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. I'm a butterball at about 11 pounds and very cuddly. I would love to be with you everywhere and I ride nicely in the car, but if you have to leave, I'm ok by myself for awhile too. I would do best as an only dog, because I think all treats, toys, and food should be mine but supervised, I can play well with other dogs.

If you'd like to be my new forever family, please email me, Fran for an application and tell us a little about the home you have for me, where you are located, and a phone number would also be nice....I am waiting. My adoption fee of $150, an approved Application, and a great home is required...Until we have received your completed application, we cannot arrange a meeting.

Please Help RascalĀ

You can donate toward his care, using his sponsor me button on his page at Rascal

Who we are:

K-9 Homefinders & Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit, organization that was started, here in Albany. OR. in 1980. We have been rescuing dogs for 30 years. For most of that time we were the only dog pound rescue that was saving dogs out of the Linn County Animal Control.

We ran ads in the newspaper as a plea to consider a pound animal for a pet before they were killed. There was no Internet, so placement was a lot harder. A large number of dogs were being euthanized. We would take a large amount of the dogs that were due to be euthanized that day. We even managed to save some while they were walking into the room where they put them down. We paid their fees to get them out, we give them their shots, we had them spayed or neutered, and provided any medical care that was needed. We are still available for kill-shelter rescue of adoptable dogs as space and funds allow. We accept donations, see below for some ways to help. We are also on call if needed when a dog is injured after hours with no owner.

We help owners that can't keep their pets, find loving homes for them by advertising and taking applications to find the best homes for them. We are an all volunteer group, solely run by your greatly needed donations. All funds go to help the animals. We are an all volunteer organization, with NO paid employees. We do it for the love of animals.
